Aimin Mitwally, DO
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Central New Jersey, Dr. Mitwally has deep roots in the local community. His journey into medicine began at New York University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Chemistry. He then pursued his medical degree at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Mitwally completed his psychiatry residency at Cooper University Hospital. This intensive training provided him with extensive experience caring for a diverse patient population and managing a high volume of high-acuity cases, preparing him to address a wide spectrum of mental health challenges.
His dedication to patient-centered and thoughtful care was recognized during his training, as he received the departmental Excellence in Psychotherapy Award. Additionally, he was honored with the Excellence in Family-Oriented Psychiatry Award from the Association of Family Psychiatrists and the Philadelphia Chapter of the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society, reflecting his commitment to understanding the individual within the context of their family and social environment.
Dr. Mitwally's goal is to create a welcoming, non-judgemental space where he can work collaboratively with patients to help them achieve greater well-being and a richer, more fulfilling life.
